Steno professor receives acknowledged prize

​Professor and research manager at Steno Diabetes Center, Peter Rossing, is awarded the acknowledged Camillo Golgi Prize. 

Professor and research manager at Steno Diabetes Center, Peter Rossing, has been awarded the acknowledged, international Camillo Golgi Prize for his long-standing career in prevention and treatment of diabetes complications. The prize is given once a year by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, EASD, to a European researcher for outstanding contributions in the field of diabetes complications.

New professorship at the University of Copenhagen

The award coincides with the announcement of Peter Rossing as Professor in Endocrinology with a special focus on diabetic cardiovascular disease at the University of Copenhagen. From 1 May 2016 and the next five years he will be working 20 % of his time at the University of Copenhagen to support the synergy between Steno’s clinical practice and basic research at KU. 

The Camillo Golgi Prize is awarded at the EASD congress in Munich on 13 September where Peter Rossing will also give a lecture about his research.
