- Diabetes and diabetes technology: Optimizing treatment by exploring the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.
- Behavioural (health) and experimental economics: Investigating causes and mechanisms of irrational human health-related behaviour/decision making.
- Health economic evaluation: Conducting cost-utility/cost-effectiveness models of diabetes treatments.
Aim: To uncover barriers for successful treatment with insulin pumps (+/- CGM) in type 1 diabetes and develop novel personalized intervention tools that addresses these barriers. The newly developed approach will be studied in a randomized controlled trial.
