Naba started her PhD in 2018 (advisors CLQ and Flemming Pociot) and she is aiming to discover biomarkers in Type 1 Diabetes within Innodia. She started her work in systems medicine by studying adipose tissue collected in volunteers in an experimental setting, doing lipidomics, and in a theoretical one by integrating to transcriptomic repository data. She was recently chosen to represent Denmark in the Young Diabetologists Meeting in 2019 with her work in adipose tissue.
