Nadia graduated with a PhD from University of Copenhagen in 2018.
The aim of her current project is to identify CNS-derived biomarkers for Type 2 Diabetes progression & remission. She will use single-cell sequencing & metabolomics to assess molecular changes induced by injection of the peptide, FGF1 into the hypothalamic brain region– a treatment that induces sustained diabetes remission. The results will push forward the development of T2D treatments. Mentors: Tune H. Pers, Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) & CLQ.
