Research area

  • Children and adolescents movement behavior: Research into the factors that are crucial for children and adolescents' participation in various movement behavior, sports and exercise, with a special focus on physical literacy.

  • Movement behavior interventions in primary school: Initiatives that work within the core business of primary school and at the same time positively affect the pupils’ movement behavior – e.g. education outside the classroom.

Current research

  • Danish Assessment of Physical Literacy (DAPL)

    Purpose: To translate, adapt and validate a comprehensive physical literacy measuring instrument.

  • Staying Active Together in Sports (SATS)

    Purpose: To identify factors that are crucial for young people to continue playing sports and to contribute to the work of sports associations and federations in reducing drop-out rates among young people.

  • MOVEOUT

    In a cluster randomized controlled trial design, this study investigates, with a special focus on movement behavior, the efficacy, mechanisms, and mediating effects of the well established TEACHOUT intervention.
