How to use tape instead of overpatch - Sådan bruger du tape i stedet for overplaster

If you experience skin reactions when using the overpatch that comes with your diabetes equipment, use this guide to replace it with tape.

If your skin reaction is caused by the over patch of your diabetes equipment, which is placed over the equipment itself: Start by replacing the over patch with a different type of patch. You can try using Mepore tape or kinesiology tape.

In the example below, we provide instructions using Mepore tape.

Gather all necessary items including Mepore tape. Apply Mepore tape instead of the first over patch. Then gently attach the transmitter.

Apply Mepore tape in a cross shape instead of the second overpatch that comes with the diabetes equipment. Press the tape firmly onto the skin to secure the sensor. The tape cross itself can be replaced with new tape if it loosens before the equipment needs to be changed.
