​Healthcare at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen is part of the Danish public healthcare system. Treatment is free of charge, as it is at all public hospitals in Denmark. It is not possible to pay for access to treatment or to purchase treatment privately at Steno.​ Here is how we work:

​Individualized treatment

• Your treatment is tailored to your daily life, well-being and needs 
• You create a plan together with your healthcare provider, which is continuously adjusted.
  

This means: not “one size fits all,” but a solution that fits you.

​Needs-based contact (not a fixed schedule for everyone)

• How often you have appointments depends on your needs 
• Some people need only a few contacts, while others need closer follow-up. 

The focus is: support when you need it, not just routine check-ups.
