My work focuses on enhancing patient care and improving the quality of life for individuals with chronic diseases, particularly diabetes. This involves leading multidisciplinary teams and developing comprehensive care strategies.

Research areas include:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Palliative care for non-cancer patients
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration in healthcare
  • Patient-centered care approaches

Current Responsibilities

  • Chief Nurse: Leading the Department of Diabetes Treatment at SDCC.
  • Leadership: Collaborating with the Chief Physician and Chief Biomedical Laboratory Scientist to manage a team of approximately 160 staff members.
  • Patient Care: Enhancing patient pathways and ensuring high-quality care for diabetes patients.
  • Innovation: Promoting innovative approaches to diabetes treatment and care.

Master in public management, University of Southern Denmark

Registered Nurse (RN)

Leadership Experience

Former Head Nurse at the Department of Palliative Care, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital

Extensive experience in leading healthcare teams and improving patient care processes.
