The vision for Clinical and Translational Research is to conduct world-class research for the benefit of everyone with diabetes and people at high risk of developing the disease. The goal is to be an international leader in clinical and application-oriented research, where there are well-described collaborative relationships locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Strategic focus
There has been a focus on preparing a strategy and a description of the basic principles for clinical research. The principles revolve around interdisciplinary collaboration to create synergy and promote intelligent study designs, methodological excellence using the best methods and the highest quality. There must be a starting point in a clinical perspective.
The strategic focus is also to secure the framework for good cooperation with the pharmaceutical and medical industry on the best possible research. This has resulted in the creation of SCREEN - Steno Clinical Research Entrance.
