Parking and Charging Stations

If you arrive by var or motorcycle you can take the exit to 'Akutmodtagelsen' from Ring3, or the entrance via Hjortespringvej. Both is close to Steno.

Parking options

You may park anywhere on the Herlev Hospital premises:​

• In the underground parking garage beneath our building
• On the ground level in front of our house (P6)
• In one of the other parking areas - the nearest are P4, P7, and P9 (the parking garage)

At the entrance to our underground parking garage, there is a light signal that shows green or red depending on whether there are available spaces (green) in the parking garage or if it is full (red).

Parking rules

Parking is free throughout the Herlev premises, but some parking areas have time-limited parking. This will be indicated by signage.

You can find spaces without time limits at P3, P7, and P9 (the parking garage).

Prolonged parking

If you are parked in a 3-hour time-limited parking space, you can extend the parking time at our reception if needed, whether you are a patient or a relative.

Charging stations for electrical cars

If you need to charge your car, you can choose from 28 electric charging stations on the premises.

You can find them here:

• Two charging stations from E.ON in the parking garage (P9)
• Four charging stations from Clever and E.ON at columns M, N, and O on P2
• One charging station from Clever on the outside of the hospital at the corner of Turkisvej and Hjortespringvej (50 kW)
• Fifteen charging stations from Spirii on P7
• Six charging stations on P4

Bike Parking

If you arrive by bike, you will find parking at both the north (Indgang Nord) and south (Indgang Syd) entrance of steno.

Handicap Parking

There are several parking spaces for disabled individuals on the hospital premises that can be used. These are without time limits.

If you cannot find an available disabled parking space, you can park indefinitely in the time-limited spaces with a valid disabled parking permit, where there is a blue stripe at the top of the sign.

Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

You can use bus lines 5C, 300S, or 30E, which stop at Herlev Hospital. The nearest S-train station is Herlev Station, located 1.6 km away.

When you arrive at Herlev Hospital, there are two walking routes to Steno:

• You can either follow the path along Ring 3 past the Emergency Department (Akutafdelingen). Steno is located right behind this building.
• Or you can enter through the main entrance of Herlev Hospital and walk straight through Grønnegården to the northern entrance (Indgang Nord) to Steno (no. 83)

Order a Taxi by The Information Phone

It is possible to order a car using the phone located on the side of the Information desk at the main entrance, Borgmester Ib Juuls Vej 1, floor 1. Remember to specify whether you want the taxi at the main entrance or at parking 4.
