Since 1989 European centers have collaborated about the EURODIAB register, which at the moment contains 26 European centers representing 22 countries with over 84.000 childhood Type 1 Diabetes cases age 0-15 years.
The EURODIAB centers deliver annual data on new T1D cases including data on disease onset, birth and sex as well as background population distribution on age and sex.
Over the years more than 20 scientific articles have been published on the basis of data from EURODIAB link to publication list.
Recently Denmark, under Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, has taken over the responsibility of co-ordinating the collection and handling of data for publication of updated T1D incidences across Europe. We are very interested in including new European centers to the EURODIAB collaboration. See contact information below.
Update of data from EURODIAB Centers
During 2019 the centers will be asked to deliver updated data up to and including Dec 31, 2018. If possible, this time we will ask for inclusion of some additional data i.e. immigrant and socioeconomic information and a few clinical data. We will contact the centers by email with description of specific data contents.
