Report: Diabetes Demographics
The aim was to describe the development in diabetes prevalence, incidence and mortality in comparison with the background population as well as to describe the incidence of acute, micro- and macrovascular diabetes complications.
The study is a descriptive, retrospective cohort study based on Danish national health registers and quality databases.
The analysis is based on persons residing in Denmark between 1995 and 2017 administratively identified with diabetes in these health registers.
