​By using data from several sources – conventional cohort studies, large clinical data sets as well as Danish and international health registers, our aim is to develop preventive strategies for persons with impaired glucose metabolism and early treatment strategies for persons with type 2 diabetes.

Focus areas include e.g. risk factors for progression to diabetes, diabetes demography and prognosis for patients. Other areas include the development of statistical methods as well as contributions to the development of the national health registries.
