Research Area
- Studying low-dose glucagon injections for hypoglycemia prevention and treatment.
- Studying efficacy of automated insulin pens.
Current Research
Systematic review
Aim: to evaluate the roll of low-dose glucagon in preventing exercise-induced hypoglycemia in people with type 1 diabetes.
Collaborators: Ole Nørgaard from “Videnscenter for diabetes"
GLUT1D
Aim: To test different doses of glucagon around exercise in people with type 1 diabetes to evaluate its effect in preventing exercise-induced hypoglycemia.
Accuracy of continuous glucose monitors (CGM) around exercise
Aim: To test the three most used CGMs in the clinic around exercise. It is well-known that the accuracy of these devices can be challenged by situations such as exercise.
HYPO-AVOID
Aim: To test an automated insulin delivery systems (MedtronicTM 780G) ability to handle spontaneous exercise together with low-dose glucagon in people with type 1 diabetes.
