Lipodystrophy and co-occurence with eczema in children with type 1 diabetes followed for 12 months after starting new diabetes technology
Purpose: The objective of this study is to evaluate the correlation between lipodystrophies and eczema. 170 children and adolescents treated either with an insulin pump, a CGM, or both have been observed for 12 months with regular clinical investigation and ultrasound of the skin.
Validity of ultrasound detected hyperechogenicity and hypoechogenicity between independent observers and the importance for insulin absorption.
Purpose:
To investigate the agreement between ultrasound findings from two independent observers and their significance to insulin absorption.
The four-week study of skin sites used for diabetes devices in children and adolescents
Purpose:
To investigate the effect on ultrasound findings after participants have been informed of said findings on their glycemic variables and habits of rotating infusions sets.
A randomized controlled trial testing the influence of three- and seven-days insulin infusion sets and two types of insulin on hyperechogenicity in subcutis and glycaemic variables in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Purpose:
To investigate two different types of infusions sets and insulin on the skin and glycemic variables.
