Current Research
My PhD project is part of Generation Healthy Kids — a school- and community-based intervention project focused on promoting health and wellbeing among children aged 6–11 years. The project is conducted at 23 Danish schools and in selected local communities around the schools. It involves approximately 2,000 students in grades 1–3 as well as a range of local stakeholders (e.g., from municipalities and local cultural and recreational sectors) during the period from August 2023 to June 2025. The intervention targets children's diet, physical activity, sleep, and digital habits. Read more about the project here.
My PhD includes an evaluation of the community-based intervention with a particular focus on how and to what extent participatory methods can enhance engagement and build capacity among local stakeholders to collaborate on health-promoting initiatives for children in the community. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are used.
