  • Estimating exercise capacity to guide intervention studies in children and adults.
  • Studying low-dose glucagon injections for hypoglycemia prevention and treatment.
  • Examining different dietary approaches to maximize the benefits of diabetes technologies.
  • Analyzing device behavior as predictors for optimal glucose control in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, children, and adults.
  • Evaluating the impact of automated insulin pumps (AID) including vulnerable groups.
  • Assessing additional benefits of AID beyond the glycemic control (sleep, inflammation, cognition).
  • Evaluating and preventing skin issues related to technology use.
  • Developing Stenopool, a device uploading program and decision support system.
  • Investigating impact of glucometrics on risk of late complications.
  • Developing and evaluating the effect of diabetes self-management education, new learning strategies and support and the use of diabetes technologies.
