User Involvement

At Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, user involvement – a concept more widely known as Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) – means having people with diabetes as well as their relatives actively participating in the development of our initiatives as well as in the individual care process.

Our fundamental desire is to create an increased quality of life and well-being for people with diabetes and their relatives and to provide the best possible treatment, health promotion, education and research in collaboration with the people, our services and research are for.

We are continuously working towards implementing a user perspective on our services and research through initiatives such as user panels, workshops, questionnaires, user representatives in our board and in project steering committees and more.
